Paul Richard Goniea Sr.

Mr. Paul Richard Goniea, Sr., beloved husband of Margaret Compton, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Doctors Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, March 14, 2022 in the Storey Chapel of First Baptist Church of Augusta with the Rev. Ryan Heritage officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 until the time of service at the church.
A native of Detroit, Michigan, he retired from General Motors before making the CSRA his home over twelve years ago. He enjoyed reading, camping, hunting and singing. He enjoyed studying his bible and was something of a bible scholar.
In addition to his wife, Margaret, he is survived by his children, Paul Richard Goniea, Jr. (Anxhela), Michael Joseph Goniea (Kara), Daniel Arthur Goniea (Agnieszka) and Eric Douglas Goniea (Robin), his brothers, John Goniea, Greg Goniea and Joe Goniea, as well as his grandchildren, Samantha, Alicia, Troy, Breana, Ryan, Kelly, Sean, Noah, Eden, Jordan, Jessica, Christina, Michael, Gabriel and Daniela.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine Goniea, who passed away in 2001. He is also preceded by his brother, Dave and his parents, Art and Doris.
