Ralph D. West

Ralph D. West, 71, of Lincolnton, GA passed away on March 11, 2024.

He was born locally at Ft. Eisenhower Army Medical Center on March 21, 1952 to Cliff and Salima West. He graduated from Harlem High School. After meeting through a family connection, Ralph wed his beloved wife of 43 years, Robin Murrah on June 21, 1980.

Ralph was a hard-working provider for his family. He was a construction superintendent at Plant Vogtle for 45 years until his retirement. He was a dedicated member of his church, New Hope Worship center.

He had many passions and cherished doing them with his favorite people – his family. Whether it was instigating his grandchildren, pool days or family dinners. He enjoyed family trips to the beach, taking the kids on boat rides and watching them play sports.

He always looked forward to his monthly card night with friends and neighbors, hooking a fish out on the lake, a peaceful day at the golf course and watching the Atlanta Braves and Georgia football games.

Ralph is survived by his greatest joy and the love of his life, Robin West; his children, Katie West, Jessica (Jason) Eddie, Tracy Espinoza; his sister, Linda Matthews; grandchildren, Emerson Eddie, Fischer Eddie, Owen Espinoza and numerous friends and family that will cherish his memory.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Alan West.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 5-7pm at Platt's Funeral Home 337 N. Bel Air Rd. Evans, GA 30809

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Reagan Sommers, will be held at New Hope Worship Center 715 S. Old Bel Air Rd., Grovetown, GA 30813 on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 12pm.
