Robert Bubba Black

Augusta, GA – Mr. Robert “Bubba” Black, 70, entered into rest on Sunday, August 31, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Rev. Baxter Stanley officiating. Interment to follow in West View Cemetery.

Bubba enjoyed fishing and watching NASCAR races. He also loved spending time with his friends and family. Bubba also loved his dogs, Mickey and Remi. He had the brightest blue eyes.

Bubba is survived by his daughters, Jan (Bennie) and Robin Black; his brothers, Jim Black (Beth), Billy Black (Brenda), and Willard Black (Debra); his sisters, Tonya Nettles and Melba Page; his grandchildren, Brandon Phipps and Tony Scott Black; the mother of his children, Jerry Black; his many nieces and nephews; and by his good friend Linda Smith and her grandson Bryson.

Pallbearers will be Jim Black, Adam Black, Billy Black, Jr., Bennie Phipps, Mark Nettles, and Jeff Murphy.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday morning, September 6, 2014 from 9:00 AM until service time.
