Ronnie Knox

Mr. Ronnie Knox, beloved husband of Mary Fitzgerald Knox. Entered into heaven on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Whole Life Ministries with the Rev. Sandra Kennedy officiating. The family will greet friends at the church for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Westover Memorial Park.

Ronnie was one of three boys born to the late Irving and Mera Knox. He was born in Washington, Georgia but attended school and graduated from Harlem High School. After school, he entered the United States Air Force and served honorably for four years. He met Mary Fitzgerald, the love of his life, in 1965 and they were married in 1968. He started his career at Georgia Power, and worked his way up to manager, finally retiring after 41 years there. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on tractors, and absolutely loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. His church family was also special to him, having been a member of Whole Life since the beginning of the church ministry.

In addition to his wife, Mary, he is survived by his sons, Brandon Knox (Jenny) and Ryan Knox (Oeli), his grandchildren, Mary, Emma, Ron, Angely and Nolan, his brother, Irving “Shug” Knox Jr. (Diane), a sister-in-law Brenda Knox, a sister-in-law, Ann Campbell, a brother-in-law Mickey Fitzgerald (Patricia), a sister-in-law Beth Fitzgerald and numerous nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by a brother, James “Shim” Knox, and a brother-in-law Larry Fitzgerald.
