Mrs. Ruth Taylor Goodwin
Augusta, GA – Mrs. Ruth Taylor Goodwin, age 87 beloved wife of the late James Hudson Goodwin and daughter of the late William F. and Iva Taylor, entered into rest on Sunday, August 01, 2010 at University Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Platt’s Crawford Avenue Chapel with Dr. Jacob O. Malone officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Goodwin was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper with the W.E. Raines Building Supply Company.
Mrs. Goodwin is survived by her daughter, Cheryl G. Myers and husband Herb of Augusta; her stepson, Jerry H. Goodwin and wife Mavis of Warrenville, SC; her stepdaughter, Jean G. Phillips and husband Buddy of Cedar Lakes, IN; her seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Mrs. Goodwin was preceded in death by her five brothers, Heyward, Harry, Russell, Phillip, and Fate Taylor; and her three sisters, Leila Hitt, Hattie Taylor, and Louise Smith.
Pallbearers will be Art Baber, Matthew Baber, David Poss, and Daniel Poss.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening August 3, 2010
