Sarah Grace Snider Parrish, 85 born in Gibson Ga, resident of Augusta Ga entered into rest on July 19, 2022.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Many knew her as “Sarah” as she was the cashier and a fixture of the S & S Cafeteria for 50 years!
She started working at the Broad Street location in 1959 and then moved to the Walton Way location when it opened. She was always “dressed to the nines” as they used to say and was one of the few women who could totally ROCK bright red lipstick! Which she did a lot!
She was totally dedicated to the S & S Cafeteria - it’s employees and her customers. She found great joy working there and loved her customers & the feeling was mutual.
She was a kind, quiet and gentle soul who never said an unkind word about anyone. She had a calm and humorous demeanor and such a positive outlook on life.
Even as she struggled in her final days, she never lost her luminous smile & was not scared for the next step in her journey.
Sarah absolutely loved animals wild and domestic.
She was preceded in death by her Brothers, William "Bill" Snider & Robert "Bobby" Snider & Her Sisters, Polly Williford, Julia Ann Jones & Sherrye Winkler.
She is survived by her beloved son, James Edward Parrish.
Sarah Grace wanted everyone to just be kind.
We will miss her dearly but know she is in Heaven with her Sister Julia and other family there.
In addition to her son, Sarah is survived by her sister, Mary Snider Saye; niece, Christine Murphy & nephew, Curtis Landrum III along with many loved nieces & nephews.
Her suffering & confusion has ended & peace begins.
Let us remember her for her warmth, honesty, incredible strength & that sweet voice as we celebrate the incredible life of a great lady.
