Tanya Andrews

Tanya Andrews, 57, of Hephzibah, Ga, passed away at home on the 21st of October 2022 surrounded by her loved ones.

Tanya Andrews was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to mother, Barbara A. Mitchell and biological father, Robert S. Wilson. She was adopted and raised by Robert C. Mitchell on the 8th of July 1965. She was a Bearcat at heart, graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in Battle Creek, Michigan – Class of ‘83. She married Michael D. Andrews on the 6th of August 1993 in Hinesville, Ga.

She worked in the hospitality and retail space for several different corporations for most of her adult life. She was the loving and supportive wife of a retired veteran of the United States Army for 29 years.

Tanya Andrews is preceded in death by her biological father, Robert S Wilson; father-in-law, Johnny L. Andrews; adopted father, Robert C. Mitchell; mother, Barbara A. Mitchell; eldest brother, Ralph Brown; brother-in-law, Johnny R. Andrews and mother-in-law, Arlene Andrews.

Tanya Andrews is survived by her husband, Michael D. Andrews; very best friend, Jataune L. Carpenter; daughters, Danielle R. Mitchell and Dominique R. Williams; goddaughter, Akeelah R. Simpson; godson, Devaughn L. Rogers; grandchildren, Anthony C. Scales II and Cameron A. Thomas; big sister, Michael Rae Asberry; big brothers, Philip L. (Rhonda) Mitchell and Scott A. Mitchell and baby brother, Randy C. (Tracy) Mitchell; sisters-in-law, Carla M. Chreighton and Vicki D. Hall and her many loving Nieces and Nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers are Bff Jataune Carpenter, Gary Watkins, Clifford Hill, Gregory Smith, Jeffrey Monroe, Victor Andrews, Terrence L. McClain, Preston E. Gardner.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Tanya’s honor may be given to Cancer Research Centers of your choice.
