Tara Rae Baxter

Tara Rae Baxter entered into rest on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Doctor’s Hospital at the age of 44. She was born on January 14, 1980 in Augusta, Georgia.

She is survived by her parents Gary and Ladonna Baxter; brothers Corey Baxter (Mariam Baxter) and Brennen Baxter (Taylor Baxter); and sister Heidi Chaney, as well as 7 nieces and nephews; Weston, Mason, Nora, Naomi, Noelle, Maddox and River.

Tara spent most of her days with her boyfriend Joey Nye, building a wonderful relationship and creating great memories together. When she was not with Joey, she was at "Momma and Daddy's" using every ounce of her energy loving and serving them, lending a helping hand whenever she could. The remaining hours of her week consisted of building her cleaning business and finding great deals at the local thrift store (primarily goodwill) so that she could shower her nieces and nephews with trinkets and treasures. They loved "Aunt RaRa" so very much and she cherished every one of them.

Tara had a sweet, genuine, kind, servant-hearted spirit and pursued the Lord with all her heart through the mountains and valleys of her life. She was loved by many and her memories will be cherished forever.

Tara’s family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, August 12, 2024 at Platt’s Funeral Home, Belair Road, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Stevens Creek Church at 11:00 AM, Dr. Marty Baker officiating.
